Also, Blogger is discontinuing support for FTP upload, meaning I will have to change this thing over to some other service soon (and that totally sucks. I'd pay for this service if it came to that, but no).

Two New Pages+Explanation

Two new pages here and here.

These are late, and this means only 3 pages were added in all of November, which is freaking lame, I know, but I recently had some sad stuff happen at work, and trust me, everything else in my life was momentarily knocked out of my brain for a few days. I pretty much forgot I could draw for a short time.

Otherwise, I am slowly working on the next chapter so that I can at least continue to post these pages a few times a month.

Why don't we hang out more on the forums you guys?

Every time I sat down to post this page, something came up.

But I'm still working on new pages. Wouldn't it be awesome if i could post three times a week?

Skipped a Week

I was hoping to post a page a week, but it doesn't always turn out that way (thus the heading "sporadically").

Anyway, this week's page is up, and here is last weeks' page, which you'll also find in the archive.

While we're at it, we should all go hang out on the forum.

Ooh, and I'm sketching the next chapter. You know, I should do like Gina does with Red String and hook up my Twitter as a run-by of what I'm working on, so people know where I am. But I wonder if all two of you reading would really care enough to read. LOL I'll think about it.

I have posted two new pages since we last spoke. I just didn't update here to mention last week's update.

I have yet to do much overhauling on the site that I wished. The one notable thing is that I'm slowly converting to Google Ads. Why didn't I use Google Ads before? Conflict of interest, basically. But since that conflict disappeared back in January of this year, we don't have to worry about that anymore. Thus, Google ads. :3

Well, back to work.

A new page!

A totally meaningless page, but a page nonetheless. I'll post these slow in order to give me a bigger backlog so that I don't have a 10 month update gap again.

If you're really curious as to why I could not post much in the past year or so: I got a new, bestest job evar in September last year. Previous to that, I was unemployed for a few months and, before that, working low paying jobs that varied in their satisfaction.

On top of a new job, I then had a lot of personal stuff go on. It's personal enough that I can't post it here, but just know it wasn't super serious. I didn't lose a leg, get unexpectedly pregnant, or something else that takes a long time to recover. It was actually mostly positive, really (no, I didn't get married, either).

So, I'd like to say that I hope today marks a change in status to this webcomic. I hope you'll help it along in some way. :D

What's Happening, Etc

My god, an UPDATE??? Scary.

Anyway, way back in December I posted a page explaining that I was not dead or abandoning the comic. I'm still not. What you have to understand is that.. okay, I was working on other comics. I can really only work on one comic at a time, and I had hit writer's block with Velharthis. My bad for not having enough pages ahead of time.

My full time job prevents me from having a good schedule for updating, but it's really time for me to pull up my pants and get back to this thing.

Second, I'm having the site redesigned to make uploading pages easier. This isn't really a cosmetic change. Because of this, it will take longer to complete. Until then, I can't post the redesigned pages here. I was hoping I could post new pages as well when this was finished, by new pages might be finished before the new uploading system is finished, so I may post those soon...ish.

Third, I'm glad people still want to read the comic, cause I still want to write it. I don't blame people getting antsy pants about it, but remember: you're not obligated to read, so don't get mad if I don't update. Why get mad, anyway? There's lots of shit out there to read.

An update!

I have gone ahead and updated a few things around the site, like fixing the Buzzcomix link and adding another adbar above.

Out of my absence from the site for the past month and a half comes a new all-colour comic drawn by me and written by Gina Biggs of Red String. It's called Maid Maleen and you can check it out here.

And just a note about comments here: I've turned off anon comments for the time being because people were starting to abuse it in order to coerce updates out of me. I know my readers are, for the most part, really wonderful people (I know cause I've met some of you at cons and whatnot). However, one or two of you appear to not get that incessantly bitching at me and using veiled threats is one of the least productive ways to get me to update this comic.

I try my best to keep to my schedule, and when I can't no amount of pestering is going to magically change that.

I got four weeks until Fan Expo and this other comic thing I'm going to, and I'm trying to finish a project for that. That's pretty much why I've been so slow to update. Sorry!

I'm sorry for being MIA lately. Had to deal with some stuff (and this is still ongoing). I'm trying to keep the updates more regular.

Anyway, new pages can be see here and here. I uploaded two. I also added all the recent pages to the archive, so you shouldn't be missing any pages now.

Next chapter should be really good. I hope everyone likes the tweaks to the layout.

I really have to get people voting for the comic again, but I only like to ask when I'm, you know, updating...

Also, I'm looking at re-vamping the site in order to maximize both advertising space and other stuff like that. I just need to tweak some stuff to make the site better.

Anime North Wrap-Up

Anime North was pretty fun. Thank you everyone who came out to buy stuff and to talk! Next convention is Fan Expo August 22nd to the 24th! I'll be in the Artist's Alley there, too. It's a pretty good convention for those who don't live in Toronto, as it is right down town with all the big tourist attractions (the convention center itself is right next door to the CN Tower and Skydome!)

I will be at Anime North this weekend! Among other things, I will be selling Velharthis stuff for the first time! I've got a short side comic for sale for $6, and prints of this picture, this picture, and this picture.

So, if you're going to be there this weekend, come find me in the artist alley. I'll have my Velharthis prints up so look for that!

I had to spend the weekend catching up on Velharthis so we'd have pages for the next couple weeks. Now I'm set for a little while again, and the next couple pages should be interesting... then again, Velharthis should always be interesting, or I'm not doing a good job.

Sorry for not updating until now. I've been busy because I managed to snag an artist's alley table at Anime North this year in Toronto. Anime North is taking place this year from May 23rd to the 25th.

I will post updates about what I'll be doing for Anime North here on Velharthis and at my Deviantart account, which is here.

I do know I'll be selling some Velharthis things (which I will go into detail on at a later date) as well as some fan art and, if the timing is good, my short comic Queen of Hearts.

Again, I will have more solid information about what I'll be selling closer to the con. But for now I'd like to say that I still have some Zelda fan comics left over from last year for sale. You can find information about that on the Store page, which is here.

To address the comments from Tuesday's update:
- We'll pretend Brother Matthew was imagining the story wrong and that's why Edward sword hand changes. Alternate excuse: "A wizard did it"
-Jenise's comment to herself in the last panel of Tuesday's page was just her thinking about her grandpa because-and this is kind of spoilery but what the hell-we haven't heard the last about Jenise's grandpa... But at the moment he's not important to the story. :3
