*** The Rules *** |
Yes, I know rules suck but I've got some that you need to read and follow if you want me to continue this site. Please don't be an a-hole and ruin things for other people, alright? Right now I only got two and hopefully it will stay that way. I have spent countless hours scanning my doujinshi, stationary and other things and then cleaning up the scans, making avatars/wallpapers/scanlations from those scans. It was a lot of work. >> Rule #1 - You *MAY NOT* use my big scans or scanlations on your site. That's why I've marked them with those ugly watermarks/tags. Even if you ask for permission I will not give it to you so don't waste your and my time asking when the answer is NO. If you want others to see them then link to my site. You may use the thumbnails of the covers and backs for your wishlists or whatever. I actually made them a little bigger than I was originally going to and didn't mark them for this purpose. You don't have to credit me for those if you don't want to, but it would be nice if you did. >> Rule #2 - If I give you my permission, you may use some (not all) of my avatars and wallpapers on your site as long as you credit me and place a link to this site. Remember don't direct link to my images because stealing bandwidth just isn't cool. If you think someone has stolen images from me, let me know about it before you send any nasty emails to the webmaster or webmistress because they may have asked and gotten permission from me or I submitted it to them. But other times some a-hole may have submitted it as their own work and the webmaster/mistress doesn't know that it's stolen so it's not thier fault. |

*** User Guide *** |
I figured it would probably be a good idea to describe how I've organized the information on my doujnshi and stationary. First of all, you need to be able to display Japanese characters if you want to see the Japanese text. I can't describe how it's done so please don't ask me. Search on google or something for a tutorial. I provide the title, circle and artist names in Japanese so that you can copy & patse them in the search box at Yahoo! Japan Auctions or some other Japanese shop to find them easier, if you plan to shop there. Below the Japanese is the romanji and under that is the translation if I'm able to translate it. If there's a (?) it's possible the romanization or translation is wrong. For now the doujinshi and stationary are listed by series. In the future I may organize them by circle too. They are listed first by circle in alphabetical order (or artist if circle isn't known) and then by release date (or goods # for stationary.) If the circle and artist are unknown then they are placed at the end of the list. Below are some examples. |

Images(s): The example above has a front and back but some only have a front. When you click on the thumbnail you will see a larger version of the image. (See rule #1) Circle(s): There's usually one, like this one, but sometimes two or more will collaberate. When there are more than one, they will be separated by //. And as you can see there's the name in Japanese, romanji below it and an English translation under that. Artist(s): Basically the same as circle except I won't translate the names because well... they' re names. Printed: (Year-Month-Date) Usually it's just the year and month. I guess the specific day isn't that important to most circles. Edition: Sometimes there are reprints for the more popular stationary. Most don't have an edition. If it doesn't specify then it's probably 1st edition. Size: Most are B5 but stationary has a wide range of different sizes. (See table below) If it's a non-standard size then I'll put the dimensions in millimeters. Goods#: Some circles put a goods # on their stationary. It's basically a product number. I use it to organize them easier. Status: Go here for a table of what the different levels of status mean. |

Cover & back: The thumbnail images of the cover and back are free for you to use on your site or whatever (see rule #1.) If you click on either one it'll take you to the more detailed information page, if it's finished that is. If you hover over the image sometimes there might be a warning about the content for those who somehow missed reading the type which is under the circle name. Title: The title is listed in romanji if it's originally in Japanese. If it's in English then English. Some may have the title in Japanese and English, so for those I'll use the English title. Circle(s): The circle's name is in romanji if it isn't in English. The example has an English name. Type: I guess you can say it's the genre and rating. Look at the table below to see what it all means. |

Ahh... Private Label. The doujinshi by Private Label are very very good. Excellent artwork, beautiful/sexy and funny! All characters (except Cait Sith) make an appearance in this gag book. On this hilarious page the Vincent and Barret are embarrassed over having to wear a ribbon. Cloud's wearing one too... but where is it? Cloud offers to show them, "Wanna see...? It's cuuute." But once they realize where it is, they'd rather not see. There's a couple stories where Cloud uses some of the materia against his friends. The first used is the sense(?) materia and Cloud finds out really personal information on each of them. And the other is the manipulate materia which Cloud uses to control Vincent against his will (since he's half monster it works.) He commands him to bring him tea, lay out a futon and climb into said futon along with Cloud. We don't get to see anything happen though...darn. Just before Aerith's death while Sephiroth is controlling Cloud’s body, Cid comes to the rescue! There's another two-part story which is about Vincent's past with Lucrecia, where she breaks his heart once she reveals that she's with Hojo (Ewww~) because she likes the "Mad Scientist" types. There's also a few really nice illustrations. One is of Aerith and Cloud (so pretty and sweet), one of Vincent with some flowers, and one of Vincent and Cid just hanging out together. |
Cover & back: This time clicking on the thumbnails will get you the big scans which you may not use on your site (see rule #1.) Series: Yup, the series name in Japanese text for copy & pasting and Romanji or English. Title: First is the title in Japanese (if it has a Japanese title) under that is the title in romanji and below that is the English title or a translation. If there's a (?) beside any of them then I'm taking a guess and could be wrong. If there's a (???) then I don't know what it is. Circle(s): There's usually one, like this one, but sometimes two or more will collaberate. When there are more than one, they will be separated by //. And as you can see there's the name in Japanese, romanji below it and an English translation under that. Artist/Author(s): Basically the same as circle except I won't translate the names because well... they're names. Published: (Year-Month-Date) I think this might actually be the date it went on sale because several of them have the same date which I think is the day of Comiket. Pages: I only count the pages that have something on them. I don't count the cover and back or the blank pages. Size: Most of the doujinshi are B5 and some are A5. I haven't come across any other sizes yet but when I do I'll update the table below. |
~ Doujinshi Sizes ~
B5
182 x 257 mm
7 1/4 x 10 1/8 inches |
A5
148 x 210 mm
5 7/8 x 8 1/4 inches |
Weight: I include the weight (in grams) so if you happen to buy it from someone in Japan you can get an idea how much shipping will cost you. Format: It's what the doujinshi is made up of. Manga, novel, or everything else. Type: See the table further up the page. Pairings: If it's a male x female pairing then the guy's name is first and the girl's second. If it's a male x male or female x female pairing the seme's name is first and then the uke. Comments: My thoughts on the doujinshi, the art, the stories. And two sample pages. Sometimes I'll translate little bits of dialogue. |
